A few months into 2022 I decided to start tracking my comics making progress. How many pages I've scripted, lettered, colored and hours I spent drawing. It was a super helpful motivational tool, so I decided to do it again for 2023.

This is my progress board. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

I did a lot of writing last year, and thats about it. This year I'm going to focus more on learning the art side of comics, and have already signed up for classes in cartooning and coloring.
Here is where we are the first week of January.
Four pages scripted, one hour spent drawing. Not the best, but any progress is good progress.
Now, there are some things I do that I don't track, because it's kind of hard too. I did script four pages, but I also spent time plotting and researching. I drew for one hour, but I also watched a lot of drawing tutorial videos and looking through books. Basically, I only track completed things, but I am spending 99% of my time during the week thinking about creating comics. Does that make sense?
The plan is to post my progress at the end of each week, barring vacations or simply when I just forget too. It would be cool if you followed along, but do what you want, I'm not your mother.
Hugs and Kisses,
Kevin Michael Rowe
